It's especially noticable when hitting bumps or small potholes in the road. It's a momentary vibration noise that is short lived, but annoying. It is separate from the noise eminating from the ...DTC read P0793 keeps coming back. My 2009 xB started to have this problem about 4 days ago. There's been a delay in gear shifting from 2nd to 3rd. VSC Off and check engine lights are on. Scanner gives DTC code P0793 (Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor A Circuit No Signal) 1/1. If you have, then it's a good idea to disconnect the battery negative, wait a minute or so, and then reconnect to force the ECU to relearn the engine behavior. Yes you can probably bolt the 5-speed auto tranny from the Camry to the Scion's engine but you will have to swap the ECU from the Camry as well as the Scion ECU is not designed for a 5-speed auto, just the 4-speed.
