From a strictly tonal point of view, alto sax is closer to trumpet than tenor sax. From a playing point of view, tenor sax is the most flexible. The 62 can be pretty bright depending on your disposition and the era of the sax. The 82Z is a darker sound than the 62 and blows a lot freer than the SX90. All 3 are good, usable saxes and solid for learning on.
