We have to go to work, cross the entire city, eat, buy stuff, supplies etc. Some people are overreacting and buying 50x of everything, which 1) is not cheap and 2) you're being a bad world citizen leaving others with 0 supplies for an unknown amount of time.

Uruguayan cambio also do sell and buy argentian pesos, but the rate is bad. But yes, that option exists if you want peace of mind before crossing over.
