I stay in the town so I can loot everything important before zombies reach maximum density and clump together. Usually spend forst day checking for important thingies and car. Define "best". My 1st objective of every new run is to get to Louisville so west point has been my go to. They are all good. Rosewood is a relatively small town with lots of amenities. The others are larger and therefore have more zombies but its fun to experiment with them all. I dunno why few like west point.

Fortunately, you could also just hop on the internet and find a map, which is much easier. If you don't mind that slight break in immersion, we'd recommend using the Project Zomboid map project.
