If an Import addon does have issues with newer versions of blender then get a portable (zip) version of the older blender from blender.org. It wont interfere with your current installation. Import the object into the older version then copy/paste or save/load .blend file into newer version. Hey there, I'm not the dev but have used the plugin recently and can provide my findings. This plugin is currently incompatible with Blender 4.0+ due to a breaking change in part of the Blender API. Until the plugin is updated to implement the new API, it will only work with Blender versions prior to 4.0.
