Ya Take It and upgrade It as much as you can,it's a really strong weapon that it's valuable even in end game,even though i like guts sword more. The big difference is the scaling, if you're going dex espada has A while rapier has B, so you'll get a bigger attack bonus. If you have 34 str, I would just go for the Ice Rapier or Regular rapier and bump STR to 40. Espada only has an E in strength and since STR scaling is stronger than DEX, the D scaling would work better for you. I used the Darkmoon Blade and Sunlight Blade miracles to buff Ricard's Rapier. Finally, throwing in The Leo Ring + Ring of the First Born made this thing nasty. And yes, it's tough and gutsy to land an R2, but man it's satisfying when you do especially if it's buffed.
